The new school will be a spacious 98,000 square feet, designed to accommodate approximately 600 students in grades K-5. The construction project reflects community feedback gathered through several listening meetings over the years, ensuring that the facility meets the needs of both students and educators.
Architects from KCBA have spearheaded the design of the school, emphasizing energy-efficient features and flexible learning spaces that can easily adapt to evolving educational trends. This adaptability will allow for the integration of various teaching methodologies in a modern educational environment.
Safety is a central theme in the school’s design. Features such as secure entry vestibules and hallways designed to manage sightlines during emergencies have been incorporated to enhance student and staff security.
