Wisconsin Dells, WI – A new chapter in the history of Wisconsin Dells is set to begin as the Dellshire Resort announces its grand opening planned for spring 2026. Marking a significant milestone, the resort will be the first new establishment of its kind to join the well-known tourist destination in decades. A recent topping off ceremony celebrated the completion of this major construction phase, paving the way for an exciting addition to the area famous for its family-friendly attractions.
The Dellshire Resort will span 48 acres and is strategically located at 2255-2325 Wisconsin Dells Parkway, making it easily accessible for both leisure and business travelers. This ambitious project is primarily led by Virginia-based Uphoff Ventures, with the construction financing being managed by JLL Hotels & Hospitality Group. Funding for the project has been secured through a private lender along with a commercial property assessed clean energy (C-PACE) lender, ensuring that the necessary financial resources are in place for completion.
Designed to be a family-centric retreat, the resort will feature 208 rooms, including nine luxurious suites. Among its extensive array of amenities will be six pools, a mix of both indoor and outdoor options, catering to guests year-round. One of the most captivating highlights of the resort will be a striking 60-foot fire-breathing dragon, alongside an innovative augmented reality attraction that promises to delight guests with a unique experience.
The construction plan also encompasses a four-story luxury-themed hotel, which will include two restaurants with a total of 350 seats. Additional facilities are set to feature on-site bars, retail shops, and a dedicated meeting space capable of accommodating up to 280 guests. For entertainment, a family entertainment center will cover 9,000 square feet and include a variety of amusement rides designed for guests of all ages, keeping the focus on family fun.
On top of these amenities, a distinct tree canopy walk will provide breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, enhancing the overall allure of the resort. With an estimated completion date in the second quarter of 2026, the Dellshire Resort aims to fill a significant gap in the market for family-oriented accommodations, while simultaneously boosting local employment opportunities.
Wisconsin Dells, recognized as the “Waterpark Capital of the World,” draws approximately 5.5 million visitors annually. Its appeal is further amplified by its proximity to major urban centers including Chicago and Minneapolis, positioning the Dellshire Resort as a prime location destined to attract both tourists and business travelers from various parts of the country.
The management of this extensive construction project is entrusted to Kraemer Brothers, a construction firm based in Plain, Wisconsin, which is experienced in handling such large-scale developments. As the area continues to thrive as a leading family resort destination, the Dellshire Resort is poised to play a pivotal role in elevating the region’s tourism profile and offering memorable experiences for visitors.
