Born on March 20, 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio, Tyrone was known for his dedication and passion for his work. He was the son of the late John and Lois Tamura, and he spent much of his life serving the community through his expertise in tool and die making.
Over his successful career, Tyrone founded and operated his own business, Per-Form Tool and Mold Inc., which he led for 25 years. Under his stewardship, the company blossomed into a prominent entity within its industry. After selling the business in 2009, Tyrone transitioned to Houston, Texas, where he continued to share his extensive knowledge by teaching and mentoring the next generation of tool and die makers. His commitment to education and mentorship has left a lasting impact, earning him respect and admiration from peers and students alike.
Tyrone is survived by his son, Michael J. Tamura, as well as his brother Roger Tamura (Cherie), his sister Karen Tamura, and several nephews including George (Bonnie), Thomas, and Trevor. He was also a cherished great uncle and cousin to many. He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his sister Cheryl Tamura-Frazier and his nephew Kim Tamura.
Memorial Arrangements
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on September 2, 2025, between 4 PM and 8 PM at Monreal Srnick Funerals & Cremations in Eastlake, Ohio. A memorial service will be held the following day, September 3, 2025, at 10 AM at the same location, with a burial to follow immediately at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chesterland, Ohio.

The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society, offering support for a cause that is significant in light of Tyrone’s passing.
