Indianapolis will serve as the vibrant host city for the highly anticipated WNBA All-Star Weekend from July 18-19, 2025, bringing together a variety of exciting events and activities celebrating women’s basketball. The festivities are expected to draw nearly 70,000 fans, providing a significant boost to the local economy and not just raising the profile of women’s sports, but showcasing the city as an attractive destination for such major events.
Throughout the weekend, the events will be held primarily at the Indiana Convention Center, located at 100 S. Capitol Ave., Indianapolis. Doors will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. ET on both days. Daily tickets for adults will be priced at $28.40 plus applicable taxes, with children 12 and younger granted free admission when reserved with an adult ticket.
On Friday, July 18, the spotlight will shine on the WNBA 3-point contest and skills challenge at Gainbridge Fieldhouse starting at 8 p.m. ET. This event promises to be electrifying and will broadcast live on ESPN. Fans can find verified resale tickets through Ticketmaster at various prices.
The main attraction, the WNBA All-Star Game, will occur on Saturday, July 19, also at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, with tip-off scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET. This year’s teams will be captained by Caitlin Clark, representing the Indiana Fever, and Napheesa Collier from the Minnesota Lynx. The game will air on ABC, and resale tickets are available starting around $140 plus taxes.
That same evening, fans can attend an outdoor music and comedy event at the Everwise Amphitheater in White River State Park at 6 p.m. This concert will be headlined by popular musician The Kid LAROI and feature performances by artists such as Cedric the Entertainer, Leslie Jones, Aida Rodriguez, G-Eazy, and BIA.
Interactive fan engagement will be a key aspect of the weekend, with attendees having the chance to participate in basketball clinics and games, and explore a range of league and sponsor experiences. Exclusive merchandise will also be available for fans to get their hands on.
The WNBA All-Star Weekend is projected to have substantial economic benefits for Indianapolis, with estimates indicating a potential impact exceeding $10 million. Additionally, hotel accommodations in the downtown area are reportedly in high demand, resulting in rates that may be two- to three-times higher than regular pricing.
While the excitement builds, there are concerns regarding Caitlin Clark’s participation due to a lingering right groin injury. Clark recently left a game frustrated by the ongoing injury issues this season, which could hinder her performance in the All-Star Weekend events.
In the current WNBA season standings, the New York Liberty leads the Eastern Conference, followed by Indiana Fever in fourth place. In the Western Conference, the Minnesota Lynx sits atop the leaderboard.
With its rich history of successfully hosting significant sporting events, the city of Indianapolis is geared up for an exhilarating All-Star Weekend, celebrating athletes and captivating fans from across the nation.
